The Whaley Rail II is a collaborative design between Ben Whaley (667 DIT) & Upgrade Innovations. The frame system integrates with the Inovativ Voyager/Scout cart to provide a solid, lightweight, adaptable & removable mounting frame to hold multiple production monitors and other accessories.
Build the Whaley Rail frame system to the Inovativ Voyager/Scout, by installing deck cheese plates onto the cart deck. For further information on the assembly process, check out the Whaley Rail II – Inovativ Voyager/Scout Assembly Instructions.
NEW – Whaley Rail frame systems now include our innovative Whaley 3/8 Pin-Loc Baby Pin, a non-twist baby pin designed for the Whaley Rail system. Whaley Pin-Loc is using the ARRI standard pin-loc spacing, with a longer 3/8″ male thread to provide added anchor strength.
The Whaley Rail II system is designed to integrate with our popular Ball-Lock Monitor Mounts and Quick Release VESA Plates. The Ball-Lock system is a positive-lock system for rock solid monitor support when static and dynamic forces are at play. Baby pin mounting is common on set; however, these mounting systems can suffer on mobile applications where spigot tie down knobs inevitably loosen from mobile forces. The Baby Pin Pan Lock Clamp (link) limits the mount from panning on the baby pin and will keep monitors in the desired orientation.

Make use of our Rudy Arm for holding scopes, GUI monitors, Iris handsets and other smaller accessories. Take advantage of the Arri 3/8 Pin-Loc patterns on the Whaley Rail by solid mounting our Rudy Arm with the Arri 3/8 15mm mounting spuds. Our innovative and trusted Ball-Loc Pivot Clamp will ensure your accessories are held in place.
The Rudy Arm system is interchangeable so you can use this arm in conjunction with other Rudy Arm components and 15mm accessories. Build possibilities are truly endless with the entire arm being a 15mm mounting surface (always check load rating when re-configuring parts).

The Voyager Deck Support Bars add rigidity and stiffness to the top deck for the Whaley Rail to support DIT workstations on the Voyager cart.. The support bars help to prevent the Voyager deck from flexing under heavier loads by balancing the load over the length of the top deck.

So much nicer than the other options for monitor mounting out there. Solid and versatile. The tolerances are tight so be very careful when drilling. I had to file out some of the holes to get everything to line up perfectly. I had the better luck on the second plate by drilling a small pilot hole before using the larger bit. Looks great when finished.
